Youth Officer (Corryong)
$38.09 to $43.48 per hour – dependent on skills and experience
Fixed-term, part-time role until August 2027
Flexible working arrangements to support a healthy/work-life balance

As the Youth Officer based in Corryong, you’ll:
- play a pivotal role in supporting and empowering young people
- work closely with local communities to develop and implement programs that promote youth engagement, wellbeing, and personal development
- collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the needs and voices of young people are heard and addressed effectively
What you can expect in this role:
- Develop and implement youth programs that cater to the needs of the local community
- Engage with young people to understand their challenges and aspirations
- Collaborate with schools, community organisations, and local government to promote youth initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and activities that encourage personal development and social skills
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide support and guidance to young people in accessing services and resources
- Maintain accurate records and reports on youth engagement activities
What we’re looking for:
- A relevant qualification in youth work, social work, or a related field.
- Experience working with young people in a community or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs.
- Knowledge of youth issues and community resources available to support young people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
