About The Role
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Yard & General Maintenance Technician to join our branch in Hume, Canberra.
If you enjoy practical work, fixing things, forklift duties and a variety of day-to-day tasks, this role is for you.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you’ll be hands-on in keeping our fleet of modular buildings well-maintained, hire-ready, and returned in top condition.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating forklifts to move and position buildings and materials
- Getting hire units ready – cleaning, prepping, and packing for transport
- Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep
- Inspecting returned equipment and identifying any issues
- Using hand and power tools for day-to-day maintenance tasks
- Assisting with stocktakes and keeping the yard organised
- Completing simple paperwork and recording asset movements
About You
- A current Forklift Licence (High Risk)
- A current Driver’s Licence
- Experience using tools and carrying out general maintenance or repairs
- A practical, problem-solving mindset
- Good attention to detail and work ethic
- Basic computer skills for simple reporting
