A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

The municipality has a large asset base, and has a broad range of opportunities to innovate, plan and deliver to better meet its community's needs.

We are currently seeking a Fixed Term - Full Time staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The role:

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator, this role will be pivotal to the ongoing success of a proactive approach to employee wellbeing and psychological health and safety over the lifecycle of employment.

The position will focus on gathering data and identifying trends that inform the development, and implementation of programs, polices/procedures and initiatives that promote employee wellbeing and psychological health and safety.

About you:

This is a rewarding and meaningful role for an energetic individual who is empathetic and enjoys engaging with a diverse workforce.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • A tertiary qualification in OHS, Psychology or other allied health discipline, and/or substantial relevant experience (5+ years) in a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and stakeholders, and to build strong relationships with key partners.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and program management skills.
  • Several years experience working with wellbeing policies, strategies and practice.
  • Strong research skills and robust knowledge of psychological health and wellbeing practices and principles, as well as legislation related to mental health and wellbeing

Experience needed

  • Substantial relevant experience (5+ years) in a related field.
  • Several years experience working with wellbeing policies, strategies and practice.
