We are seeking a warehouse assistant to oversee warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and hands-on core cutting activities. This is a hand on role, combining operational leadership with day-to-day execution.
You will be responsible for managing warehouse organisation, inventory and logistics while also operating core saw equipment and supporting sample preparation. This role is suited to someone who is organised, safety-focused, and comfortable balancing physical work with coordination and documentation.
The role is primarily based at our Auburn facility, with travel to remote exploration sites as required.
About the Role
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including layout, organisation, and upkeep
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics of core, equipment, and consumables, including transport to and from exploration sites
- Manage inventory, tooling, and consumables, maintaining accurate records
- Handle drill core processing, including safe operation of core saws, cutting samples, and loading/unloading core trays
- Operate and maintain core saw equipment, including pre-start checks, minor maintenance, and oversight of the saw container
- Manage core saw water waste in line with environmental procedures
- Ensure warehouse and storage areas meet safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Complete all required operational, logistics, and quality documentation
- Identify hazards, report issues, and contribute to continuous safety improvement
About You
- Previous experience operating core saws or similar equipment (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift licence or willing to obtain
- Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in additional sample preparation areas
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working on site and travelling to remote exploration locations when required
