Permanent part time role – 15.2 hours – flexible days
Pay rate per hour - $46.35 per hour + superannuation

We have a great opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme ACVVS). In this role you will recruit, support and retain volunteers for various programs across the ACVVS.
Day To Day This Role Looks Like
- Advertising for volunteers through a variety of channels to target local groups and people
- Conducting interviews with potential volunteers
- Matching volunteers to clients according to interests, location, skills
- Providing induction, orientation and training prior to volunteer commencement
- Meeting with volunteer and client on first introduction
- Processing and delivering on client referrals from Aged Care facilities and Care Advisors
- Providing regular, ongoing support for volunteers
- Maintaining a client/resident referral list
- Providing regular follow up with clients and residents
- Promoting ACVVS to Aged Care Providers in the region through attendance at industry events
- Consulting with Aged Care providers to identify clients who could benefit from a volunteer visitor
- Providing regular and appropriate feedback to providers regarding client referrals and volunteer availability and matching
- Promoting Catholic Healthcare as a good place to work under ACVVS, by attending volunteer expos and direct contact
To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need
- Experience working with volunteers/groups or teams (desirable but not essential)
- A current NDIS Worker Check and/or willingness to get one
- Compassion, honesty and flexibility
- Experience in the Aged Care and/or Community Services sector (desirable but not essential)
- Current driver’s license and own vehicle
- Effective written and oral communication skills when dealing with volunteers, clients and staff
