The Opportunity

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of health and community services professionals? We are seeking a dedicated Trainer and Assessor – Health & Community Services to deliver and assess training programs that prepare students for rewarding careers in the sector. In this role, you will mentor and guide students, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions that meet curriculum and industry standards
• Assess student competencies, providing constructive feedback to support learning and growth
• Facilitate workplace training and assessment, supporting students during practical placements
• Develop, review, and update training materials in line with current industry trends and compliance standards
• Maintain accurate student records including progress, assessments, and attendance
• Participate in validation, audits, and continuous improvement processes
• Ensure compliance with ASQA, RTO, and VET Quality Framework standards
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success

About You

• Hold relevant qualifications in Health and Community Services, for example – 1) Diploma in community services, 2) Certificate III Ageing, 3) Certificate III in Disability, or 4) an equivalent/higher qualification
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in training and assessing within the health and community services sector
• Strong knowledge of the National Standards for RTOs and ASQA compliance requirements.
• Experience in training, mentoring, or workplace supervision within the community services sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners.
• Confidence using LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and online delivery methods.
• Current knowledge of legislation, ethical frameworks, and best practices in community services.
