An excellent opportunity to start your accounts career. We are looking for an accounts focused person to join our team as a Trainee Accountant.

Position Overview:

The role offers opportunities for progression within the company.

Primary responsibilities include deal processing. Ensure paperwork for each deal is correctly costed and completed

Reconcile gross profit and record costing variance

Calculate sales consultant’s commissions monthly

Daily tasks include processing manufacturer invoices, stock swaps.

Assist with month-end processing and reconciling general ledger accounts.

General Admin Duties

The role requires being a team player and assisting as needed.

Willingness to take on tasks designated by the Financial Controller.

Essential Skills:

Strong interest in advancing in an accounting career.

Good knowledge and understanding of accounts.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving ability.

Proactive approach and the ability to present solutions to issues.

Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.

Desirable Skills:

Currently undertaking or having completed formal accounting studies (TAFE, University).

A focus on continuous improvement and streamlining processes where needed.

Keeping open lines of communication with the Financial Controller.
