We're partnering with a large-scale transformation programme within a leading organisation, currently scaling out its data capability across Australia and NZ.

This is an opportunity for a high-performing Technical Business Analyst to sit at the intersection of data engineering and business engagement, supporting the delivery of complex, enterprise-wide data initiatives.

The Opportunity

You'll join a multi-disciplinary data programme responsible for shaping and delivering data pipelines, reporting solutions, and migration activities across a modern cloud data environment

Working closely with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, you'll play a key role in translating data requirements into structured, deliverable work packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand data structures, reporting outputs, and requirements
• Analyse and define data flows, lineage, and table structures
• Support the delivery of data migration and transformation activities
• Break down and shape work packages across build, test, and deployment phases
• Collaborate with engineers on SQL-led solutions and data pipeline design
• Support the production of data extracts and reporting outputs (Tableau)

Tech Environment

You'll be working across a modern data stack, including:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) & BigQuery
• DBT for data transformation
• SQL-heavy environments
• Data ingestion tools (e.g. Fivetran / HVR)
• GitHub / pipeline tooling
• Data lineage tooling
• Tableau for reporting and dashboarding

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience as a Technical BA / Data Analyst in data-led environments
• Strong understanding of SQL and data structures
• Proven experience working in GCP data environments (3-4+ years preferred)
• Exposure to APIs, batch processing, and data pipelines
• Comfortable working closely with engineering teams while engaging the business
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes
