Description

Flintwood Disability Services is seeking an experienced Team Leader to play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day delivery of centre and community-based programs. This position requires a motivated and adaptable individual who can lead and mentor Support Workers while ensuring strong person-centred support for participants.

You will work closely with the Service Manager and frontline staff to ensure programs are delivered effectively and that participants are supported to achieve their individual goals. This is a multi-dimensional and rewarding role that contributes to positive social change and improves the lives of people in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of centre and community-based programs
  • Lead, mentor and support a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality services
  • Ensure individual person-centred care is embedded in all supports and activities
  • Support the implementation of participant goals and outcomes
  • Coordinate and adapt program delivery to meet the diverse needs of participants
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, families and community stakeholders
  • Support staff to develop confidence, skills and capability in their roles
  • Ensure programs are delivered in line with organisational policies, procedures and relevant standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement

Qualifications

  • Certificate III or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of disability sector funding, including the NDIS
  • Demonstrated experience supporting participants with varied support needs
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team of Support Workers
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • High level understanding of policies, procedures and standards relating to disability services
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships within the community
