Inclusive Employment Australia is the new program, replacing Disability Employment Services (DES) and introduces a more inclusive future where people with a disability, injury or health condition can get support to prepare for, find and maintain meaningful work, and grow their career.
The Team Leader provides leadership and guidance and is primarily responsible for the performance of the team in placing people with disability, injury, or health conditions into employment and providing assistance to keep them employed.
This position requires effective leadership skills and a positive, proactive and forward-thinking approach to achieving financial, contractual, and team KPIs. There will also be times where this position will need to be hands-on assisting our consultants in attending to participant appointments and back filling periods of consultant leave.
Responsibilities or duties
- Provide effective leadership and promote a happy, healthy, and high performing team culture
- Lead the team to achieve job placement and maintenance targets
- Ensure contractual compliance to relevant deeds, policy, and legislation
- Develop and manage strong ongoing relationships with all stakeholders
- Provide case management support to consultants
- Provide timely and accurate data and reports when required
- Manage complaints and feedback at a local level, whilst escalating or informing management as appropriate
- Complete administrative and compliance tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

- We require someone with:
- Good leadership skills with hands-on people management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop others
- The ability to work and succeed in a target driven environment
- Confident negotiation skills and resilient in nature
- Strong administration and computer skills
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
- Experience in the Employment Services field is highly regarded
- A current drivers licence with the ability to travel as required
- Cert lll in Employment, Community, or Disability Services (or willing to obtain).
