Background information about the job or company

Anglicare's Home & Community service offers a range of supports and assistance to enable our older population to live their best lives in their own homes.

We currently have multiple part-time Service Support Worker positions available to service clients across the Caboolture / Moreton Bay region. Our workers provide invaluable support by providing cleaning support to our clients in their homes.

Please note that current service demands are Wednesday, Thursday & Friday so availability on these days is preferred.

Responsibilities or duties

The overall purpose of the Support Services Worker is to provide domestic assistance supports to clients, which would involve predominantly cleaning and household chores but other responsibilities could include unassisted shopping, preparing meals, community access supports such as transport, social support or meal deliveries in order to support clients to remain living independently and comfortably in their own homes.

Qualifications or requirements

About You:

• Experience in cleaning
• Comfortable in the use of housekeeping equipment
• Able to follow domestic care plans
• Clear communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families
• Demonstrated ability to be able to work independently and effectively with the elderly
• A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regarded but not required

Role Requirements:

• Current National Police Certificate or NDIS Clearance/Yellow Card
• Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
