Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

Responsibilities or duties

The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Medical Oncology, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Medical Oncology Department and Hospital as required.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Medical Oncology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.

Experience needed

The Staff Specialist in Medical Oncology will have demonstrated clinical experience in managing solid cancers and in cancer survivorship as part of their clinical role.

The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
