About The Role

We are seeking a warm, empathetic, and dedicated Spiritual and Pastoral Care Coordinator to join our Residential Aged Care team. In this rewarding role, you will provide personal spiritual support and pastoral care services to residents, clients, and their families, respecting their individual preferences and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred, faith-based, and inclusive pastoral care to residents and clients, including one-to-one visits and group activities.
  • Prepare and lead spiritual celebrations, prayers, and moments of reflection for people of all backgrounds.
  • Support residents, clients, and families during palliative, end-of-life, or bereavement care.
  • Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and external faith leaders to meet diverse spiritual needs.
  • Maintain accurate pastoral care assessments and progress notes.
  • Support mission formation activities for employees and volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and organisational policies.

About You

  • Certificate III or IV in Pastoral Care or Clinical Pastoral Education, Counselling, Chaplaincy, Theology, or similar (or working towards).
  • Strong personal spirituality and understanding of Catholic faith and values.
  • Experience in aged care or a similar setting is highly regarded.
  • Warm, empathetic interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Commitment to trauma-informed care and respecting diverse beliefs.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
