As a Specialist II Developer, you’ll work on moderately complex solutions, contributing to the design, development and delivery of modern applications that are secure, scalable and high performing. You’ll collaborate with talented teams across technology and the business, bringing a customer-first mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).
Responsibilities or duties
- Design, develop and deliver clean, maintainable and high-quality application code
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure robust and reliable solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver customer-focused outcomes
- Identify and drive continuous improvements to applications, performance and efficiency
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, planning and retrospectives
- Support deployments, incident resolution and ongoing application enhancements
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Experience in software development and application design principles with an understanding of SDLC, coding standards and structured programming (e.g. object-oriented)
- Guidewire Associate Certification or higher
- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile, cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with a disciplined, analytical approach
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
