About the role

We are looking for two Site Supervisor’s (on the tools) at ASCOT GROUP Melbourne, Victoria, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects in our Aged Care and Health division. These are full-time positions requiring your hands-on expertise, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality projects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams to meet project timelines and quality standards
  • Working on the tools as a carpenter
  • Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to team members
  • Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on-site
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimise construction processes
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project
  • Travel will be across Greater Melbourne and occasional regional work.

What we’re looking for

  • Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
  • Industry White Card (former Red Card acceptable)
  • Maintain a full Victorian (or recognised equivalent) Driver’s License
  • Have access to a full kit of reliable trade appropriate tools inclusive of vehicle (which can carry materials)
  • Extensive carpentry or other equivalent trade experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising/managing construction projects, including overseeing multiple trades, across multiple sites simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of the end to end to build process
  • Ability to prioritise and schedule work, manage a diary and work to tight timeframes
  • Strong understanding of OHS site requirements
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues to achieve excellent work quality
