Find your further with Ventia in this client facing Senior Project Engineer role delivering end-to-end project outcomes across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure works.

The role involves working with an integrated team, leading projects from development and pricing through to commissioning and handover in a brownfield infrastructure environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance and client outcomes. You will work closely with stakeholders and clients to develop practical, value driven solutions, drive subcontractor performance and oversee field activities ensuring successful project delivery. You must be able to work nights occasionally to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

You will act as the key client contact and build strong relationships to ensure strong project delivery and leadership which includes end to end delivery, supporting planning and oversight of field activities and issue resolution.

You will interpret asset issues and develop rectification options including preparing quotes, tenders and project proposal, developing relevant project documentation (SWMS, plans, ITPs) and coordinate site works and permits.

Furthermore, you will lead prestart meetings and site coordination, drive productivity and performance from subcontractors and take a hand on approach to field delivery where required, including making real time decisions and managing changing risks.

Required Skills And Experience

Personally you are confident, have pazazz and ability to win people over and ideally have experience with infrastructure or utilities environments.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Automation)

Solid end to end project management experience in brownfields

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong reporting and documentation skills

Experience with quoting, tendering and project documentation

Cost tracking and work winning experience (preferred)

Solution focused approach with practical problem-solving capability

Ability to balance technical delivery with client relationship management

Ability to transition between day and nights when required
