JOB DETAILS:
Background
This role is within the Prison Employment work unit of the Department of Corrections.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies for Prisoner Employment Program.
- Conduct site visits to employers to increase opportunities.
- Supervise Prisoner Employment Officers.
- Liaise with stakeholders to monitor prisoner participation.
- Support reintegration of prisoners into the community.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative partnerships.
- Knowledge of issues facing prisoners in employment.
- Case management and motivational interviewing knowledge.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Desirable: Knowledge of correctional legislation and secure environments.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: bachelor degree
