Responsibilities or duties
As a Senior Investment Manager, you will be responsible for Investment Manager Selection for the Private Bank within the Office of the CIO. You will be partnering with Macquarie’s Private Bankers and the CIO Team to bring market leading investment offerings to our clients. You will be responsible for conducting investment due diligence across local and global investment offerings (encompassing a full range of asset classes both public and private) to deliver exceptional investment outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications or requirements
Strong technical skills in manager selection, underpinned by rigorous quantitative analysis and the ability to evaluate investment managers using data-driven frameworks (e.g. performance attribution, risk-adjusted return analysis, factor exposure)
Proficiency in quantitative and statistical methods relevant to investment analysis, including portfolio construction, risk modelling, and performance analytics, with comfort working across large datasets and financial modelling tools
An unwavering research focus with the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable investment recommendations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to present complex analytical findings and influence senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity
Ability to work independently and as an excellent team player, managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate investment strategies across public and private asset classes, incorporating both fundamental and quantitative lenses
Strong interest in global financial markets, macroeconomic dynamics, and delivering exceptional client investment outcomes
CFA qualified and RG146 are highly regarded; additional qualifications in quantitative finance (e.g. postgraduate studies in mathematics, statistics, or econometrics) are a plus.
