Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing professional to join our steel products trading business. This role is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships while actively developing new business opportunities across key Asian markets. The successful candidate will play an important role in expanding the business and has strong potential to grow into a Director-level position.
Sales & Business Development
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients in the steel products trading business
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities
- Execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing
Client & Market Coverage
- Manage and develop business relationships with clients across multiple regions, including Australia, New Zealand, and Asia
- Build strong relationships with Japanese clients and demonstrate understanding of their business culture
Marketing & Strategy
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports, forecasts, and presentations for management
Travel Requirements
Frequent domestic and international business travel is required
Your Profile
Experience & Skills
- Strong experience in steel products sales in the Australian market
- Proven experience in both maintaining existing business and developing new clients
- Native-level English proficiency
- Experience dealing with Japanese clients and good understanding of Japanese corporate culture
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven
- Able to work independently
- Strong cultural awareness and adaptability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field (preferred)
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (PR) is required
