Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a highly motivated Resource Recovery Attendant to join their well-developed team providing exceptional customer service and waste management to the local community.

This is a hands-on role where you will be required to undertake a range of labouring and maintenance duties at the Council’s waste facilities. Although this role is based at the Lochlees Landfill there may be times where you are required to travel between various sites across the region.

There is opportunity to work a rotating roster which allows for fantastic work life balance.

Responsibilities or duties

In this busy role, your daily activities will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to the public
  • Undertaking physical tasks for the operation and maintenance of the waste transfer facilities
  • Operating mobile plant equipment

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:

  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver’s license
  • Commercial Operators Licence (or ability to obtain)
  • General Construction Induction Card
  • Statement of attainment/ticket for Front-End Loader and Self-Propelled Compactor (or ability to obtain)
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) accreditation (or ability to obtain)
