We’re looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Auditor to join our Operations team at our Casino, NSW site. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring Jack Link’s day-to-day operations meet all legal, customer and international food safety and quality requirements.
You’ll be responsible for auditing and verifying daily operations, maintaining quality systems and documentation, supporting internal and external audits, and contributing to the continual improvement of food safety and quality outcomes across the site.
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Food Safety & Quality Assurance: Complete daily quality, GMP and hygiene checks, scheduled audits and production walkthroughs to verify compliance with HACCP plans and Critical Control Points (CCPs), and review product quality and operational performance.
- Non-Conformance & Corrective Action: Manage QA holds and non-conforming products, document food safety and quality breaches, and apply corrective and preventative actions in collaboration with site leaders.
- Quality Systems & Documentation: Maintain and review quality documentation, SOPs and specifications, control current and obsolete records, assist with specification updates, training materials and reporting.
- Audits & Export Compliance: Support internal and external audits, maintain export licence compliance, and ensure adherence to legal, customer and international certification requirements
- Laboratory Testing, Sanitation & Systems: Conduct environmental and product sampling, review COAs, support HACCP and hygiene verification programs, complete pre-operational inspections, monitor sanitation performance, and verify calibration of quality-related equipment.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table:
- A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (preferred) OR 3+ years of experience in a food quality role.
- Good knowledge of food safety legislation and international standards (HACCP, SQF, BRC).
- Good technical knowledge of the Food (Meat) Industry
- SQF, BRC knowledge (desired)
- Knowledge to maintain SOP’s
- Experience in the meat or food processing industry is an advantage.
- A solution-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
- The ability to analyse and process high volumes of data and documentation, on a daily basis.
