About the role:

Are you a passionate healthcare professional who has Mental Health qualification and experience, looking for a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of mental health consumers?

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Services team are committed to supporting staff wellbeing in a dynamic, busy environment and support professional development through learning opportunities and partnerships with external training providers.

About you:

Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA

Completed a Diploma in Nursing

Medically Endorsed (s/c, IM, enteral, topical routes) in addition to base qualification

A minimum of 2 years nursing experience, including 12 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting

Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions

Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)

Possess excellent clinical skills

The Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre is a multistorey facility with two Mental Health Adult Acute Units, each comprising of 26 beds across Intensive Care Area, Medium Care Area and General Care Area.
