The Position:
STACK APAC is growing rapidly and adding additional markets and campus developments into our portfolio, as such we are expanding our APAC Engineering team. The role of Project/Sales/Design Engineer is a key part of this expansion.
Detailed and design process orientated, you will remain strategically focused while being able to deep dive and support the project teams on all issues as they may arise and grow within a culture of support and collaboration.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Represent STACK at technical meetings with consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Work closely with the design management and delivery teams to outline the engineering/design consultants’ deliverables at the inception of each project and manage output to the agreed schedule.
- Work closely with the design management and delivery teams in appointing engineering/design consultants and equipment vendors.
- Develop technical experience and expertise to work with consultants to achieve design, program, or commercial outcomes.
- Support APAC Engineering in preparing engineering/design briefs for projects and actively participating in briefings with engineering/design consultants at the inception of every project.
- Support APAC Engineering in Engineering/Design reviews through actively participating in weekly meetings and design stage-gate reviews against STACK BOD, briefing documents and customer requirements.
- Support APAC Engineering in preparing long lead equipment technical documentation, and review vendor proposals.
- Provide technical support for onsite incidents from time to time.
- Support the Sales Engineering, Design Engineering, Commissioning and Operations functions during times of need.
Key Details:
- Location: Malaysia
- Travel: Not standard but on an as required basis
- Language: English (Spoken & Written)
Must-have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, or relevant built environment field.
- 2-3 years progressive experience in construction / engineering development, preferably project experience within Data Centre Industry (or similarly complex).
- Relative experience in construction project delivery, project controls, risk management, contract administration.
- Data Centre Project Experience including basic knowledge and understanding of Data Centre design, engineering principles and best practice.
- Working experience on 3D Design Tools, BIM process & methodology and implementation of 4D/5D design principles.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
