Background
This role is within the Community Youth Justice work unit of the Department of Corrections.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in youth justice practice.
- Support staff in complex casework and operational policy.
- Apply trauma‑informed principles in care planning.
- Conduct practice audits and case reviews.
- Mentor staff and implement professional development strategies.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or child protection qualifications.
- Ability to apply culturally safe youth justice practice.
- Knowledge of legislation, policies, and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- High‑level communication and stakeholder engagement.
