About the Role
The Permit Office Supervisor role is less about deep technical delivery and more about leading people, driving governance and ensuring disciplined execution across day work activities at Australia's largest power station.
You will sit at the production - maintenance interface; the critical point where safe access, outage coordination and plant readiness come together. You will provide senior production authority during day work and be the key connector between operations, maintenance and planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise day shift production, ensuring safe and reliable plant operation
- Coordinate outage and maintenance execution: parts, resources and access readiness
- Oversee isolations, permits and access in line with statutory and Origin standards
- Partner with shift operations, maintenance and planning to align priorities
- Coach and develop your team, building capability and a high-performance culture
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement in work planning and execution
About you
You bring experience from a complex operational environment and are ready to step into - or further develop - a frontline leadership role. You're confident working across teams, providing direction and ensuring work is executed safely and efficiently.
You don't need to be the deepest technical expert in the room. You need to understand how operations, maintenance and outages come together - and how to lead teams to deliver.
What you bring:
- Experience in energy, utilities or heavy industry operations
- Exposure to permit-to-work systems, isolations, outage planning or maintenance coordination
- Demonstrated leadership capability or clear readiness to step into leadership
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across operations and maintenance
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure
- Proactive, structured approach to planning and execution
- Trade qualification or equivalent operational experience
