Make a difference everyday

Join HammondCare and help improve quality of life for older Australians in need. As a not-for-profit, Christian organisation, we provide expert aged care, home care, dementia care and palliative care. Mission-led, we build passionate teams who support older people through life’s most difficult circumstances.

With over 90 years of experience, we’re known for our relationship-based approach.

Whether it’s in our homes, hospitals or the community, we bring skill, empathy and innovation to every moment of care.

It’s not just care. It’s HammondCare.

About the role

Are you an experienced People Partner who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments where change is the norm? Do you bring confidence and credibility when working with senior leaders, helping them navigate complex people challenges and lead through transformation?

If so, we’d love to connect.

We’re looking for a People Partner who goes beyond traditional HR support. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, a skilled coach during times of change, and a key partner in shaping positive employee experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable operating at a strategic level while remaining hands-on, supporting teams through organisational change with clarity and impact.

You’ll play a pivotal role in enabling our People Leaders to deliver exceptional outcomes, while championing a people-first approach for those providing essential care to the people that we serve.

What we can offer you

We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including:

  • NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit (up to $2,650 tax free)
  • Additional leave purchase options and 14 weeks paid parental leave
  • Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements
  • Discounts on everyday products and services
  • Discounted healthcare memberships - access to network of fitness centres and pools for employees and families
  • Free independent, confidential counselling services, wellbeing resources and webinars available through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family.
  • Health & Wellbeing programmes
  • Reward & Recognition programmes
  • Referral bonuses
  • Career and professional development opportunities

Why this role matters

Aged care is evolving rapidly—and so are the people needs within it. With ongoing regulatory reform, workforce shortages, shifting community expectations, and a diverse employee base, you’ll play a critical role in helping our organisation stay ahead of the curve

Your work will directly influence how our teams feel, grow, lead, and perform, ultimately shaping the experience of the residents and families we support

What you’ll be doing

  • Building strong partnerships with leaders to navigate a wide spectrum of people matters—from workforce planning and organisational change to culture, performance, and wellbeing
  • Supporting teams through sector-wide reform and regulatory updates, helping leaders translate requirements into practical people outcomes
  • Coaching leaders to build capability, resilience, and confidence in managing people
  • Streamlining people processes and identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience
  • Contributing to strategic people initiatives that uplift culture, engagement, and retention

What you’ll bring

  • 5 year’s demonstrated experience in a HR partnering role ideally in a complex, highly regulated or multi-site environment (aged care or health experience is a bonus but not essential)
  • A curious mindset—someone who asks questions, sees patterns, and anticipates what’s coming next
  • Confidence in navigating challenging conversations with empathy and clarity
  • A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting a workforce that truly makes a difference
