The client

Our client is a well-established boutique accounting firm that specialises in providing business taxation, accounting, and consulting services to a diverse client base across industry sectors. They're looking for a capable and confident Office Administrator to step in and keep the office running smoothly during a 6-12-month maternity leave.

The Role

This is a hands-on Office Administrator role where you'll be the go-to person in the office. You'll support the Director and Senior Accountants, manage day-to-day administrative duties, and serve as the first point of contact for business clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones and greeting clients professionally
  • Managing emails, appointments, and calendars
  • Preparing and formatting documents and correspondence
  • Client onboarding, data entry, and record management
  • Supporting invoicing, billing, and general finance admin
  • Office coordination, supplies, and day-to-day operations

About You

Previous experience in an accounting or professional services office will be highly regarded, as you will become a key member of an established team

  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a friendly, polished manner
  • Highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Accounting System (MYOB, XERO)
  • Reliable, proactive, and comfortable stepping into a contract role
  • Experience using the ASIC and ATO portals will be an advantage, but is not essential for the role as training will be provided
