An inclusive and highly respected child development centre in Cairns is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join their team.

This role suits someone passionate about working with children and families in a setting that fosters collaboration, continuous learning, and holistic support.

The Team & Workplace:

The allied health team consists of 10+ professionals, including OTs, speech pathologists, and early childhood educators. The environment is purposefully designed to be child-friendly and supportive of staff wellbeing. This is a team that celebrates wins together and genuinely supports each other in challenging cases and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for children with sensory, motor, and cognitive needs.
  • Implement individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing daily functioning.
  • Collaborate with families and educators to support generalisation of therapy outcomes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
  • Document and report in line with professional and NDIS standards.

What You'll Need:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Full registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience in paediatric therapy (new grads also encouraged to apply).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to ethical, client-centred care.
  • OTs on visa 417 seeking regional work are welcome to apply

Desirable Experience:

  • NDIS experience highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with sensory integration, play-based therapy, or school-based support.
