We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Manager to lead operations within our manufacturing facility. As a key member of the site operations team, you will play a critical role in achieving business objectives by improving efficiency, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role will suit an adept people leader who is willing and able to have courageous and constructive conversations to support professional growth and drive high engagement and performance. You will love to empower your team to succeed, and enjoy building a supportive and high performing culture, where people are encouraged to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a large shift team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.
- Drive performance across People, Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery while monitoring production and meeting operational targets.
- Develop and coach operators/area leads to build capability, engagement, and high-performing teams.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and food safety standards while maintaining reliable and smooth plant operations through collaboration with site leadership.
- Promote continuous improvement by applying manufacturing best practices, solving issues proactively, and taking ownership of shift performance and site improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in food manufacturing/production environment.
- Proven supervisory or shift leadership experience within a high-speed packing environment will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, engage operators, and develop people.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the bigger operational picture.
- Experience managing cost control, quality standards, and delivery targets.
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to escalate issues and drive outcomes.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive working environment.
