The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive New Product Development (NPD) Project Manager to lead the delivery of a complex portfolio of innovation and renovation projects within a fast paced FMCG environment.
This role is accountable for the end to end execution of NPD projects, providing strong governance, structure, and pace across cross functional teams. You’ll act as the central integrator between Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Procurement—ensuring projects progress smoothly through gates and launch milestones.
A key part of the role is partnering with management teams and senior stakeholders—influencing outcomes without formal authority to align priorities, remove roadblocks and drive delivery.
You’ll work across our Foods/Pacific Islands and Snacks businesses with key brands such as Maggi and Uncle Tobys, supporting delivery for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with products manufactured locally, internationally and with contract manufacturers.
A Day in the Life…
- Coordinate and maintain the NPD portfolio view—priorities, timing, dependencies and resourcing needs—so teams are clear on what’s next.
- Run the project delivery cadence (gates/WIP checkpoints), build and manage timelines, capture decisions, actions and due dates, and drive follow-through to closure.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Procurement to align scope, readiness, costings and launch execution.
- Work with leadership and management stakeholders to gain alignment, unlock decisions and move delivery forward—even when you don’t “own” the resources.
- Improve and embed practical tools and templates that make delivery easier, clearer and more consistent across teams.
Are you a fit?
You don’t need to be a “career project manager” to thrive here. We’re looking for someone who can organise work, influence outcomes, and drive delivery across a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and keep delivery on track using clear plans, actions and stakeholder alignment.
- Confidence engaging with management teams and senior stakeholders—able to influence without authority, challenge constructively, and create alignment.
- Strong facilitation and follow-through—comfortable running forums, documenting outcomes, and chasing actions to completion.
- A proactive mindset—able to identify risks early and escalate appropriately to remove roadblocks.
- Comfort using common business tools (e.g., MS Office (project), planning tools, and systems such as SAP where relevant).
