This is a great opportunity for a experienced All Rounder Operators to join our team working on the Fortescue Decarbonisation project located at Eliwana. Civmec's scope covers procurement, construction, installation, verification, and commissioning of three main facility groups:
1. Light Mobile Equipment (LME) Charger Facilities
2. Support Mobile Equipment (SME) Charger Facilities
3. Pit Power (PP) Facilities
This project Kicked off in January 2026 and offers a 2:1 roster from Perth Airport. This role will see you operates a range of mobile equipment such as Grader, Excavator, Loader, Articulated dump truck & Watertruck. Commencment date of 30/04/2026.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
- Operate a variety of civil earthmoving equipment such as graders, excavators, loaders, rollers, articulated dump trucks, and water trucks
- Work closely with survey teams, engineers, and site supervisors to achieve required levels and production targets
- Perform daily pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and ensure all equipment is kept in safe, clean operating condition
- Assist with general civil works including trenching, backfilling, haulage, compaction, and site preparation
- Support trades personnel as required, including labouring, spotting, and other task‑based assistance
- Follow all site safety procedures, quality control systems, and environmental requirements
- Maintain housekeeping standards across work areas
- Perform other duties as directed to support project delivery
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Proven experience operating civil construction plant including graders, excavators, loaders, rollers, articulated dump trucks, and water trucks
- Strong understanding of civil construction and finishing requirements
- Reliable, safety focused, and able to work well within a team
- Relevant plant operator tickets and/or VOCs for the machinery you operate
- HR Drivers Licence
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Previous construction experience
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
