Job Description

At Bamara, we are seeking a dedicated Mentor's to join our team in Alice Springs.

As part of the Inclusive Employment Australia department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting people living with disability, injury or health conditions to unlock meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities.

This is a full-Time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Desired Skills and Experience

Demonstrate strong cultural competency in working with First Nations communities

Ability to apply mentoring, case management, and employment services

Strong understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in relation to employment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and advocacy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of local community services, employers, and support networks

High level of organisational and time management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or case management systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong administration skills

Ability to meet and exceed outcome-focused KPIs

Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively

Time management and organisational skills

Advocacy and referral skills

IT skills including working experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Understanding of typical barriers faced by unemployed participants, particularly parents returning to the workforce or entering it for the first time after having children

Understanding of Mutual Obligation and the Target Compliance Framework

Experience in community support, employment services, human resources/recruitment, education and/or social services (desirable)

Experience working with clients with Mutual Obligation Requirements (desirable)

Experience in working with Participants to address barriers (desirable)

Case Management (desirable)

Experience using the Employment Services System (ESS) (desirable)

First Nations Identified staff/ or culturally trained staff (desirable)

Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)

Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check (ongoing requirement for employment)

Driver's License
