Background

This role is within NSW Health – Pathology Services, focusing on providing essential collection and laboratory support.

Responsibilities / Roles

Collect pathology specimens (including venepuncture) from patients.

Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labelling.

Provide high‑quality customer service to patients and healthcare staff.

Maintain equipment and supplies in collection centres.

Adhere to infection control and safety standards.

Support laboratory operations with administrative and technical tasks.

Requirements / Qualifications

Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent.

Demonstrated skills in specimen collection and patient care.

Knowledge of infection control and workplace safety practices.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current driver’s licence (if required for mobile collection duties).
