LMS Energy is at the forefront of emissions reduction and renewable fuel innovation across Australia. We are currently recruiting for a casual Mechanical Power Station Operator to be based in Shoal Bay, NT.

Reporting directly to the Manger - Operations, this role will play a key role in enabling the NT Operations team to deliver on key objectives through effective support and collaboration.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Assist with operation, maintenance, troubleshooting of engine(s), flare(s) and associated plant/equipment
  • Assist with start-up and shutdown of power station/generator module(s)
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining LMS’ biogas systems and flares, including biogas field work
  • Assist with readings, data entry, data analysis and reports
  • Assist with the scheduling of servicing and maintenance of engine(s), flare(s) and associated plant/equipment
  • Complete safety risk assessments, JSEA’s and associated paperwork

Qualifications or requirements

  • A team player, great work ethic, shows initiative, resilient and committed with strong communication skills
  • Able to work flexible hours, including some ad-hoc after hours support
  • Upholds LMS’ company values and culture
  • Holds a current Australian driver’s license
  • Fitness for work to perform the job role safely and competently
  • Mechanical trade qualifications are desirable, but not essential, as we’re seeking mechanically minded people.
