CSL Behring has an exciting opportunity for Manufacturing Assistant to join our dynamic team within the Manufacturing function (Base Fractionation – Facility F). Based at Broadmeadows and reporting to the Facility F Supervisor, you will support the execution of daily manufacturing process operations in a safe, GMP-compliant, and cost-efficient manner.

You will contribute to routine manufacturing activities by applying your knowledge of processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure the weekly manufacturing schedule is achieved. The role focuses on hands-on operations involving live process and product while maintaining strict adherence to established methods of manufacture (BMPs) and regulatory standards.

Multiple roles are available as 12-month fixed-term opportunities.

Shift Details:11-hour rotating shifts between day (5am or 7am starts) and night (5pm or 7pm starts), working a rotating roster of three days on / three days off.

The Role

Reporting to the Facility F Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Execute routine manufacturing activities in accordance with SOPs and standard work instructions
  • Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and CSL policies
  • Support safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Facility F manufacturing environment
  • Perform routine process tasks including:
    • Plasma intermediate handling and transport
    • Equipment and solution preparation
    • Clean-in-place (CIP) support
    • Buffer preparation (weighing and dispensing materials)
    • Facility cleaning and housekeeping
    • Operation, assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Monitor and meet the weekly manufacturing schedule, escalating risks to delivery promptly
  • Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner to support product quality and compliance
  • Maintain stock levels of consumables and cleanroom garments within the manufacturing area
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, compliance, and efficiency
  • Support investigation activities as a subject matter contributor where required
  • Assist in preparation for regulatory inspections (e.g. TGA, FDA)
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure manufacturing targets are achieved

  • Experience working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, FMCG, food or similar preferred)
  • A proactive team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely with a strong focus on quality and compliance
  • Ability to manage routine operational tasks to meet schedule requirements
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts aligned to manufacturing operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
