Role Overview

Undertake registrar training in Immunopathology within Austin Health’s Pathology Department. This role provides exposure to diagnostic immunology, laboratory medicine, and clinical liaison, supporting patient care through accurate and timely pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic testing in immunopathology laboratories.
  • Interpret and report laboratory results under consultant supervision.
  • Provide clinical advice to medical staff regarding immunology investigations.
  • Participate in teaching and supervision of junior staff.
  • Engage in research, audit, and quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and accreditation standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post‑graduate clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in pathology and immunology.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
