Drive delivery, outcomes and client success across IT projects

Ready to take ownership of IT projects and ensure they’re delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard?

At efex, no two days are the same. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating project delivery, managing resources, and ensuring a seamless experience for clients from project initiation through to completion.

Who We Are

With over 20 local branches supported by a strong national presence, efex is one of Australia’s leading IT and digital services providers.

We deliver right-sized IT solutions that help businesses run smarter, simpler, and more efficiently.

Our culture is approachable and business-focused: we speak in plain language, build real relationships, and always put people first, both our clients and our team.

The Role

We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Sydney-based Project Delivery team.

Reporting to the Head of Projects, this role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to appropriate quality standards, within time and cost constraints, while meeting client and business requirements.

You’ll take ownership of project coordination, scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder communication, ensuring strong visibility across all active projects and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

Key Areas of Focus:

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within scope, time and budget
  • Develop and maintain project work plans, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate engineers and technical teams based on national skillsets
  • Track project progress, risks, dependencies and forecast outcomes
  • Ensure accurate reporting across actual vs forecast, timelines and delivery

Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, updates and system records
  • Provide clear weekly reporting to management and stakeholders
  • Ensure visibility of WIP, forecasting and labour requirements
  • Liaise with procurement, billing and internal teams to support delivery

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and workflows
  • Support standardisation of documentation and methodologies
  • Monitor resource utilisation and optimise workload allocation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the Project Delivery team

About You

You’re a highly organised Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing structure, clarity and momentum to project delivery.

You’ll bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in project delivery across IT or technology environments
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and solve problems

You’re confident coordinating technical teams, managing competing priorities, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: we recognise your expertise
  • Supportive, down-to-earth culture: collaboration and respect are at the core of our team
  • Birthday leave: celebrate your day, on us
  • Wellbeing leave: take up to two days from your personal leave each year to focus on your wellbeing
  • Career pathways: choose the direction that suits you best, whether that’s advancing your technical expertise or moving towards leadership opportunities as they arise
  • Challenging, rewarding work: every day brings variety with new clients, projects, and technologies

Why efex?
