In this impactful role, you will work directly with individuals and families to help them secure and sustain safe housing, empowering them to build stronger, more stable futures. Mission Australia Housing delivers social and affordable housing solutions that provide vulnerable Australians with the security of a quality home and the opportunity to actively engage in their communities.
This is a frontline, people-focused position that calls for excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Conducting all the arrangements to lease vacant properties quickly and effectively
- Work with tenants to assist and support them in maintaining their tenancies
- Carry out property inspections and complete the required property reports
- Prepare court/tribunal documents where necessary
- Ensure tenancy and property records are kept up to date and information recorded meets the organisations and Regulatory standards
- Maintain a strong KPI focus across a variety of performance areas
- Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Actively contributes to developing and implementing strategies that connect tenants to additional support
Requirements for success
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable client groups with strong people skills
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act would be preferred
- Previous experience working in the housing or social welfare sector would be preferred
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative experience and interpersonal skills
- Current Drivers’ Licence and valid WWVP
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks and WWVP.
