The opportunity:
SkyBus, powered by Kinetic, are proud to have been awarded the contract to operate critical airside and landside services at Sydney Airport, marking the expansion of our iconic brand into NSW.
With a strong track record in delivering safe, clean, and reliable airport, urban, school, and charter bus services, Skybus and Kinetic’s success is driven by teams dedicated to excellence. Our Maintenance is critical to this success – ensuring our fleet runs at peak performance through high quality servicing and maintenance.
We’re now looking for qualified mechanics to join our team at Sydney Airport. You’ll be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet – including our new Battery Electric vehicles – as we continue to raise the bar for safety, sustainability and service. This is a workshop-based role where your skills, attention to detail and commitment to high standards will make a real impact every day.
Location: Mascot, Sydney
Our team of mechanics will work a 40-hour week on a rotating roster to cover the following operational hours:
Monday to Friday: 5am – 10pm
Saturday and Sunday: 5am – 2pm
What you'll be doing
- Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on buses (including Battery Electric vehicles)
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer standards
- Work collaboratively with the Fleet and Workshop team to meet operational deadlines
What you'll bring:
- Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or similar
- Experience in bus, truck or commercial vehicle maintenance
- A safety-first mindset and pride in delivering quality work
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment
- HR or MR licence (or willingness to obtain) highly desirable
- Ability to obtain an Australian Security Identification Card (ASIC)
