What does the job look like?
Are you a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for a change of pace? At Linfox, we offer more than just jobs – we build careers in an environment that values quality over urgency. With a focus on servicing and maintenance, and major issues referred back to dealers for warranty work, you’ll enjoy a streamlined, low-pressure role working with a modern fleet.
This role is based on the Afternoon shift, 3pm to 11pm, Monday to Friday.
Key areas include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
- Performing routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
- Testing and adjusting mechanical systems post-repair to verify proper operation and reliability
- Using diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and test vehicle parts
- Conducting vehicle inspections and issuing roadworthy certificates or detailed reports
- Responding to breakdowns with on-site mechanical support when required
- Working on new or near-new trucks and trailers in a well-equipped workshop

- Mechanical Trade qualification and experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
