About the Role
Support tenancy management services for government employee housing across regional and remote Northern Territory communities. You’ll manage leases, conduct inspections, and assist tenants with repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act 1999 (NT) and Housing Act 1982 (NT).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of government employee housing tenancies
- Conduct ingoing, outgoing, and regular property inspections
- Arrange repairs and maintenance in line with legislation
- Travel regularly to remote communities (by 4WD, light aircraft, or boat)
- Liaise with colleagues on building and upgrade programs
- Prepare official correspondence and briefing documents
- Contribute to housing policy and procedure development
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety policies
- Assist during emergency management responses when required
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, including with culturally diverse communities
- Ability to apply policy and legislation and provide accurate advice
- High‑level organisational skills with accurate record‑keeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- IT proficiency (Word, Excel, email systems)
- Capability to travel and work in remote communities for up to a week at a time
- Current NT ‘C’ class driver’s licence and ability to drive a manual 4WD
