We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Coach to partner with Site Managers and operational teams across our remote locations. This role is focused on driving food safety excellence through coaching, capability development, and consistent application of standards across the business. This role is FIFO from Brisbane with 8/6 roster. Flight, accommodation and meals are included.

Responsibilities or duties

The Position

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with site leadership to embed food safety standards, operating procedures, and compliance frameworks
  • Coaching and mentoring catering teams to strengthen capability, performance, and adherence to food safety requirements
  • Assessing site operations and delivering tailored coaching solutions aligned to business needs
  • Ensuring alignment with internal food safety frameworks, including HACCP and the Food Safety Management Plan
  • Supporting consistent implementation of temperature control, allergen management, traceability, and sanitation practices
  • Providing subject matter expertise to identify and develop culinary capability across sites
  • Contributing to broader food and beverage initiatives, including training, engagement forums, and menu development
  • Delivering structured training and fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

The Person

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in food services, with demonstrated ability to influence operational leaders
  • Proven expertise in HACCP-based food safety systems and compliance environments
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety legislation and industry standards
  • Experience coaching teams and implementing performance improvement initiatives
  • Analytical mindset with capability in root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in food safety, hospitality, or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Strong digital literacy across Microsoft Office and operational systems

Experience needed

Minimum 5 years’ experience in food services.
