ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our members and guests enjoy outstanding bar, dining and event experiences. You will be part of a dedicated team and uphold the highest standards of event delivery, service and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service

• Greet guests in a warm, welcoming manner.
• Provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the guest experience.
• Respond promptly to guest requests.

Order Taking & Service

• Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems or manually, as required.
• Deliver meals, snacks, and drinks to tables, lounges, or event areas in a timely fashion.
• Maintain product knowledge to provide recommendations and upsell where appropriate.
• Prepare and serve beverages including coffee, cocktails, alcoholic drinks, and non-alcoholic options.

Cleanliness & Presentation

• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service counters, and food preparation zones.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently between guests or rounds of service.
• Ensure all equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are clean and properly stored.

Event & Function Support

• Set up, service, and pack down for weddings, corporate functions, and club events from 40-160 pax.
• Follow specific service standards (e.g., plated, buffet, cocktail-style events).

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety guidelines.
• Comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation.
• Report incidents or hazards to supervisors immediately.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
• Attend pre-shift briefings and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth service.

Stock & Inventory

• Assist in restocking fridges, bars, and storerooms.
• Monitor and report low stock or damaged items.

Venue Standards & Presentation

• Ensure all areas reflect the quality, service, and image standards of the venue or club.
• Take pride in personal grooming and uniform presentation.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Previous experience in a food and beverage role, preferably in a hospitality or a golf resort environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Available to work a flexible roster to suit the needs of a 7-day operation.
• Extensive knowledge of bar, wine and cocktails plus barista skills (SOL Cafe & Bar).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food and beverage service.
