Finance – Brisbane, QLD Full‑time | Permanent | Global Infrastructure

Hewitt is growing ….and so is our finance function. We are seeking a capable and hands-on Finance Manager to lead strong financial reporting, governance and insights across the Group. This is a key role supporting a dynamic, growing business where your impact will be seen and valued.

About the Role

The Finance Manager is a key role within the Group Finance team, responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across the Group. You will lead month-end reporting and consolidations, ensure statutory and tax compliance, and champion best-practice financial governance. The role provides high-quality analysis and insights to support Board and Executive decision-making across multiple jurisdictions. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will promote transparency, integrity and strong financial control in a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end close process, including entity and consolidated three-way financial statements.
  • Coordinate reconciliations across payroll, provisions, cash, loans and working capital accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, GST, ITR, OSR and evolving accounting standards.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights to support business decision-making.
  • Manage treasury activities, banking compliance and the year-end audit process end to end.

About You

You are a technically strong finance professional with proven experience in financial reporting and group consolidations within a complex, multi-entity environment. You thrive in operationally driven businesses and bring a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to governance and compliance. You will be commercially astute and analytical, with the ability to confidently translate financial data into meaningful insights for decision-makers. You are proactive, collaborative and comfortable working across international teams in a global environment.

You will bring:

  • Strong technical accounting expertise with proven group consolidation experience.
  • Audit background with experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Ability to deliver clear financial insights, commentary and variance analysis.
  • Experience working across global operations, with US and Asia exposure highly desirable.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).

Life at Hewitt

With a proud family history spanning over 120 years, the Hewitt family has remained committed to sustainable agriculture, guided by a simple philosophy: treat the land well, treat people well, and treat animals well. From humble beginnings as a beef cattle farm in Central Queensland, the business has grown into a global operation – but our values haven’t changed.

We’re a hands-on business where being present matters. Whether you’re in the office, on station, or part of our production team, you’re contributing to something real, real food, real impact, real teamwork.

We believe in showing up, backing each other, and getting the job done properly, with a strong team culture, direct access to leaders, and shared wins along the way.

Join Hewitt for the Opportunity of a Lifetime

  • Values-Driven Organisation – Join a company with a 120-year family heritage, a clear purpose, and a long-term focus on sustainability, animal welfare, and quality.
  • Competitive Remuneration Package – We recognise and reward your contributions with a fair and transparent pay structure.
  • Opportunities to grow and develop– Learn on the job, gain new skills, and progress across office, production, and farm/station roles.
  • Support When You Need It – Access to our 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for personal and professional wellbeing.
  • The Hewitt Experience – Shared Connections & Celebration – Our teams come together to celebrate wins and build connections. Enjoy monthly BBQs cooked with our finest meats, make-your-own wrap or sandwich, morning teas, staff sales, and Employee of the Month recognition. Whether you’re in the office, on production & warehouse sites, or working at our cattle and sheep stations, there’s always an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and enjoy being part of a tight-knit team.
