We are currently seeking a Field Applications Specialist, Liquid Handling (ANZ) based in Melbourne - Maternity Leave Cover (14 Months Full Time)
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting lab automation and genomics for Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training and customer support on instrument installations and upgrades.
- Work with existing applications/sales specialists and our service team to provide high quality and responsive customer support.
- Successfully implement roll out, customer training, relevant validations and transitions of lab automation hardware and reagents at new and existing customer sites.
- Support product demonstrations for customer evaluation with the assistance of the appropriate Product and Sales Specialists to achieve sales goals.
- Support the preparation of tenders, quotations and financial proposals for customers in conjunction with the sales team from a technical/applications focus.
Essential Requirements:
- A Science degree (or equivalent) with automated liquid handling experience along with sound knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing would be highly desirable.
- Acceptance and willingness to travel as required
- Demonstrated experience with automated liquid handlers preferred
- Great organizational skills and the ability to prioritise projects as well as the ability to work under minimal supervision
- A current driver’s license and the ability to travel when required
- Proven written and verbal English skills along with computer literacy in tools like MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Bonus Points:
- Writing methods on the Biomek platforms
- Validation of automated methods
- Experience and knowledge on VB scripting would be a bonus
