About Our School

Emmaus College is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational ecumenical College with an enrolment of over 1510 students. Emmaus College fosters Christian unity through its active partnership with the local Anglican, Catholic, Lutheran and Uniting churches.

Emmaus is located on 21 hectares in a quiet bushland setting at 48 East Street, Jimboomba. It has been built to cater for the educational and faith needs of the Jimboomba, Beaudesert and surrounding communities. Summary

Emmaus College, Jimboomba is recruiting two Secondary Teachers for permanent, full-time continuing roles. We welcome applications from experienced educators and graduate teachers with a specialty in English and/or Religious Education. Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)

About The Opportunity

Emmaus College currently have rare opportunities for two Secondary Teachers to join our team on a full-time continuing basis. In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging Secondary lessons, contribute to curriculum and assessment, and support students through positive relationships and effective classroom practice. These appointments are based in Jimboomba and suit teachers with strengths in English and/or Religious Education who enjoy working closely with colleagues to improve learning outcomes.

• Secondary Teacher – English
• Secondary Teacher – Religious Education (Ecumenical)

In This Position You Will Be Responsible For

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcome
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
