About the role…

The Employment Supports program in Hornsby NSW program supports participants who have NDIS funding, transition into gainful employment opportunities.

The key focus of this role is to assist people in learning new skills and gain the confidence they need to find a job that they enjoy.

Day-to-day you will provide support:

  • Conducting thorough research to explore and understand various industries and career opportunities.
  • Providing individualized and group coaching to enhance interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Navigating key aspects of daily life, including public transportation, time management, and financial planning.
  • Developing expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Building strategic relationships through networking and proactive outreach to market clients effectively.
  • Demonstrating a self-directed approach to work while recognizing when to seek support and collaboration.
  • Embracing constructive feedback and committing to continuous professional growth

About you…

This wonderful opportunity is available immediately. It would suit someone who has experience supporting someone with a disability and who may be a bit of an organising and administration whiz! You are someone that can easily adapt your communication style to build relationships, and you don’t shy away from leading by example when it comes to advocating for a person’s skills or abilities when searching for work.

Your experience might include someone who: is wanting to support participants to achieve gainful employment opportunities; has lived/living personal or family experience of disability that you’d like to turn into a rewarding career; is from an employment, capacity building or support work background looking for experience in this area.

Whatever your situation, we are looking for people who are passionate about community connection, enjoy developing relationships with people and genuinely get excited to see others achieve.

This Casual role offers a attractive hourly rate + Super + Salary Packaging + Royal Rewards pro rata. With a knowledgeable senior leadership team to guide you, along with a thorough induction and orientation, you will be supported to deliver amazing services to the community and develop your skills and career
