About the Role

The NSW Organ and Tissue Donation Service (NSWOTDS) is seeking a Nurse Educator (Grade 3) to serve as Education Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing, facilitating, delivering, and reporting on educational and professional development programs across NSWOTDS, the broader NSW Network, and Local Health District hospitals.

The Education Coordinator will provide clinical support and training for Donation Specialist Nurses (DSN), Donation Specialist Coordinators (DSC), Donation Specialist Medical (DSM), and associated staff. The role also involves collaboration with the Organ & Tissue Authority (OTA) to deliver nationally consistent education programs and resources.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate education and training programs on organ and tissue donation
• Provide clinical support and training for DSNs, DSCs, DSMs, and specialty staff
• Deliver education to medical, nursing, and allied health staff in ICUs, EDs, OTs, and regional hospitals
• Create resources and support donation education in hospitals without specialist staff
• Collaborate with national and state agencies to ensure consistent education standards

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
• Post‑registration clinical or educational qualification relevant to the position
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and assessing training programs
• Extensive experience delivering educational presentations to varied audiences
• Current driver’s licence (travel is required for this role)
