The Position:
STACK is seeking an experienced and dynamic EHS Supervisor to support its growing team to provide support to on Data Centre construction project. As an owner’s Safety Representative, you will partner with our General Contractors and their Subcontractors to ensure that every worker on-site and comply with Safe working procedure during the construction and fit out activities. As experienced and hands-on in managing safety with a strong background in construction, the successful candidate influences, monitors and supervises EHS compliance to the highest standards of excellence.
Minimum 4 – 6 years’ experience in construction industry on large infra-structure projects.
Have fair knowledge of local statutory and regulatory requirements.
Experienced in communicating and problem solving as a team with contractors and sub-contractors’ supervisors and workers.
Experienced trainer on construction safety topics and conducting toll box talk and pre ask briefings.
Demonstrated experience conducting construction site safety inspections.
Experience in identifying hazard and missing control for the construction activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with the General Contractor’s (GC) safety and construction teams to work in safe manner.
- Monitor compliance with relevant OHS/Environmental legislation, STACK EHS standard for Construction & Fit out projects and GC’s EHS plans, procedures and SWMS.
- Conduct daily site walks spending a minimum of 6 hours of equivalent time to identify hazards, missing controls, correcting unsafe acts, hazardous conditions and monitor safe work practices at work floor area.
- Conduct daily meetings with contractor safety team members (Safety Manager, Safety Supervisors)
- Record daily safety observation from safety walk and report/record their safety walk observations.
- Communicate Site safety observation with respective contractor/subcontractor, Issue and monitor close-out of non-conformance and non-compliance reports.
- Attend Contractor/ Subcontractor pre-start meetings and toolbox talk.
- Contribute to a tidy and orderly work site and ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is always maintained by contractor.
- Conduct license checks for trade contractor qualifications. Monitor that measuring and test equipment calibration checks are conducted.
- Plan, participate, conduct and review site specific EHS Risk Assessment before starting of activity and update as site conditions/construction stages change.
- Any other EHS duties assigned by STACK Management or VP EHS & Compliance APAC or EHS Manager.
Key Details:
Ready to work in shift:
- Mon to Friday: 3.00 PM to 10.00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM on 6 days week schedule (40 hours per week)
- One weekly off on any suitable weekday.
Language: Good command of English and fair in Malay and or Bangla
Employment Type:
- 1 Year contract + extendable to one more year
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/ Certificate in OH&S from recognized and accredited institute in the country.
- Registration as Safety Officer/ Safety Supervisor
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in construction safety.
