  • Participate in professional development, peer review, and student supervision as required, maintaining CDE requirements.
  • Support Diabetes Camps Victoria as a healthprofessional (ideally one camp per year, or as negotiated).

ABOUT YOU

You are a warm, confident and clinically skilled diabetes nurse educator who enjoys providing education and empowering people through practical, evidence-based support across a range of programs. You’re comfortable presenting to groups, adapting your style for different audiences, and working in a values-led organisation focused on access, equity and community impact.

You enjoy collaborating with peers and colleagues to support the delivery of high quality, effective programs and prioritise your contribution to a positive team culture.

  • Experience delivering education programs or health information sessions to consumers and/or health professionals.
  • Strong group facilitation and presentation skills, with a commitment to health literacy and accessible communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a community-first approach.
  • Ability to lead the development of written resources (articles, fact sheets, program materials) and contribute to webinars/events.
  • Strong organisation skills to manage planning, travel, databases and program administration requirements.
  • Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the needs of diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Qualifications and requirements (essential unless noted):

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE), or working towards credentialing.
  • Current Police Check, and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain, prior to commencement, is essential.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates (or willingness to obtain).
  • Accredited DESMOND Educator (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in diabetes education or clinical care with people living with diabetes (type 1 experience highly regarded).

  • Hybrid work model: Balanced working-from-home and office-based arrangements.
  • Inclusive, mission-driven culture: Work alongside passionate clinicians and health promotion leaders.
  • Professional growth: Access to thousands of online learning modules and clinical development opportunities.
  • Wellbeing benefits: Discounted gym membership for you and your family, mental health wellbeing day, EAP access, and more.
  • Impact: Be part of building and expanding an innovative, technology-focused diabetes service that improves lives across Victoria.
